Is VXA for Combat Veterans Only?

Generally speaking YES. Our hunting and fishing trips are for combat vets. We want to make sure that our funding is going back to American men and women who have sacrificed greatly by deploying to protect our freedom. Our major events are open to veterans and to civilians who support our cause. Veterans who served during a non-combat time will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

Do I need a purple heart to qualify?

NO. We do offer certain hunts each year specifically to those who were wounded in combat, however that is not a requirement to go out with VXA.

How often do you hunt?

Depending on the season there are times we are hunting every week, sometimes at multiple locations. The busiest season for us is the November- February window.

Do you bring in veterans from outside of Texas?

Currently we have such an abundance of veterans and applications from Texas that we believe we need to focus on the veteran community of North Texas before we bring in veterans from out of state. There are certain events each year where we do bring in veterans so make sure to follow our social media and be on the lookout for those.
